D01-T04 – Empowering Teams and Stakeholders for Project Success

The Empowering Teams and Stakeholders for Project Success course is designed to equip project managers and leaders with the skills and strategies needed to empower team members and stakeholders effectively. The course focuses on organizing around team strengths, fostering task accountability, evaluating task accountability, and determining and delegating decision-making authority. By the end of the course, participants will have a comprehensive understanding of how to create an empowered and accountable project environment that drives success.

Expected Outcomes: Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:

1. Organize Around Team Strengths:
   • Identify individual and collective strengths within the team.
   • Align team roles and responsibilities with members’ strengths.
   • Create cross-functional teams that leverage diverse strengths for optimal performance.
2. Support Team Task Accountability:
   • Establish clear expectations for task ownership and accountability.
   • Develop processes for assigning tasks and tracking progress.
   • Foster a culture of responsibility and ownership among team members.
3. Evaluate Demonstration of Task Accountability:
   • Implement methods for assessing task completion and quality.
   • Provide constructive feedback to individuals on their accountability efforts.
   • Analyze outcomes and identify areas for improvement.
4. Determine and Bestow Decision-Making Authority:
   • Identify decision-making needs and levels within the project.
   • Delegate decision-making authority based on team member expertise and responsibilities.
   • Establish mechanisms for collaborative decision-making and escalation.
