D01-T06- Building High-Performing Project Teams

The Building High-Performing Project Teams course is designed to equip project managers and leaders with the skills and strategies necessary to build and maintain effective and cohesive project teams. The course focuses on appraising stakeholder skills, determining resource requirements, assessing and refreshing team skills, and facilitating knowledge transfer. By the end of the course, participants will possess the knowledge and tools to create and sustain teams that contribute to project success and stakeholder satisfaction.

Expected Outcomes: Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:

1. Appraise Stakeholder Skills:
   • Identify the skills and competencies required from stakeholders to support project goals.
   • Assess the strengths and weaknesses of individual stakeholders.
   • Match stakeholder skills with project roles and responsibilities.
2. Deduce Project Resource Requirements:
   • Determine the resource needs for each phase of the project lifecycle.
   • Allocate resources efficiently based on project requirements and stakeholder skills.
   • Optimize resource allocation to ensure optimal project performance.
3. Continuously Assess and Refresh Team Skills:
   • Establish mechanisms to monitor and assess team members’ evolving skills and capabilities.
   • Identify skill gaps and development opportunities for team members.
   • Implement strategies to refresh and upgrade team skills as the project evolves.
4. Maintain Team and Knowledge Transfer:
   • Foster a collaborative team environment that encourages knowledge sharing.
   • Facilitate the transfer of knowledge among team members to prevent silos.
   • Develop plans for capturing and preserving project-related knowledge.
